Discover all about candida symptoms

At first I really did not know what was going on. I had the first Candida symptom, the first indication that I had a vaginal yeast infection, but I just did not know what was going on. The first Candida symptom that I experienced was a little bit of discomfort when I urinated. The discomfort really was not significant, that first Candida symptom. In fact, I figured it wasn’t anything at all. But, by the next day, I had a bit more discomfort when I urinated and I started to feel a burning sensation as well. I did not realize that the burning sensation when urinating was another Candida symptom.

By the end of that second day, I started to experience yet another Candida symptom. My vulva started to swell a bit and it looked an irritated shade of red. Yet again, I just did not realize that this was still another Candida symptom. That evening, the evening of the day after I experienced the first Candida symptom, I had an unexpected vaginal discharge. It was a thick, milky colored discharge that did have an odor to it although it was not necessarily a bad or foul smelling odor. The discharge made me realize that something was wrong.

I made an appointment to see my doctor the next day. He advised me that each of the experiences I was having was a Candida symptom. In other words, I had a Candida or yeast infection in my vagina. My doctor had me start a treatment regimen immediately to help clear up each individual Candida symptom I was experiencing and to resolve the yeast infection infection itself. My doctor told me that I should start to see relief from each Candida symptom in about three days from the start of the treatment. Each Candida symptom should be completely eliminated and the yeast infection essentially resolved within about a week.

My doctor’s predictions turned out to be very accurate. Within a week I was completely Candida symptom free. My doctor did give me one final word of advice. He said that if I experienced a recurrence of the yeast infection within the coming two months I needed to return to his office as soon as possible. A recurring yeast infection can be a sign of something more serious going on, of some sort of illness, disease or disorder that has my body off balance and that leads to recurring yeast infections.

1. Have Sex:

Yeast infection can pass from a woman to a man through certain sexual acts including vaginal intercourse, anal intercourse or even through oral sex. Likewise, a male who has yeast infection can pass it on to his own sexual partner, be that a man or a woman.

2. Bring Into Play Lubricants:

sexual lubricants that contain glycerin have been demonstrated to be one of the yeast infection causes. Nonoxynol-9 can be found in some condom’s lubricant. There have been rumors it can cause vaginal and anal yeast infection.

    3. Catch Diabetes:

men or women who have diabetes are more vulnerable to yeast infections; mainly due to the high level of sugar in the urine.

    4. Engage Vaginal Sex After Anal Sex:

when a woman engages in vaginal sex following anal sex without a proper cleansing of her partner’s penis in advance of vaginal penetration.

      5. Use Oral Contraceptives:

Oral contraceptives effect hormone levels in a woman’s body which can lead to a yeast infection in some instances.

        6. Take Certain Antibiotics:

While many people associate antibiotics with fighting infections, some antibiotics (particularly those for expanded use) can cause yeast infections in female and male patients. Antibiotics might kill the valuable bacteria and allow the yeast to take over.

        7. Dig up Physiological Problems:

Yeast infections can arise from a whole host of different physiological that impact a woman’s reproductive system, including injuries, disease and illness.

        candida infection My personal story

        Saturday, July 21st, 2007

        Dear Friend,

Not long ago … actually, while I was on a vacation holiday at the beach … I started to experience a burning sensation in my vagina. The fact was that it was not particularly acute and it really did not bother me that much. About a day later, I started to experience what looked like a thick, milky white discharge from my vagina. Obviously, I became concerned.

What I did not know at the time was that I was experiencing some of the symptoms associated with Candida infection. (In some quarters, a Candida infection is also known as a yeast infection, more often than not associated with the vagina.) A quick visit to a local medical center led to a quick diagnosis of my problem: Vaginal Candida infection. What I was soon to learn was that Candida infection is the second most common type of vaginal infection experienced by women around the world today.

I was also relieved to be told that a Candida infection normally responds very quickly to one of several different types of treatment regimens. Generally speaking, there are three primary types of treatment regimens available to a women like me who was suffering from a Candida infection:

        l anti-fungal creams

        l anti-fungal suppositories

l anti-fungal tablets Overall, the selection of a particular course of treatment for a Candida infection rests more with a woman’s preference than anything else. Each of these particular course of Candida infection treatment normally will product noticeable relief within about three days. The entire Candida infection should clear nearly entirely within about a week. I also learned that there were many causes of a Candida infection. Basically, a Candida infection will occur in a vagina when there becomes a bacterial imbalance. In other words, a healthy vagina contains both good and bad bacteria. When this is knocked out of balance, bad bacteria and fungi can begin to grow unchecked, leading to conditions like a Candida infection. Everything from a hormonal imbalance to wearing damp clothing after exercise (or a swimsuit after a dip in the ocean, as was my case) can result in an increase in the presence of Candida in the vagina and ultimately a Candida infection. The doctor who treated me also advised that if the Candida infection did not resolve within about a week, or if a Candida infection recurred in a two month period of time, I needed to see a doctor.
